A convicted sex offender has been fined for not informing the authorities that he was going on a foreign holiday.

Dean Oakes, 28, of Downing Close, Platt Bridge, appeared before Wigan justices to admit breaching the terms of a court order by failing to provide seven days’ notice of a 2019 overseas excursion. With a victim services surcharge as well as the fine, he has £112 to pay.
